Could ARRONAX be dangerous?

This high-power cyclotron produces high activities of various radionuclides. These high activities are not stored on site but distributed to research laboratories and industries throughout the world. These radionuclides have half-lives not exceeding a few days.
Moreover the cyclotron being an accelerator, it does not contain nuclear fuel.
Finally, ARRONAX is protected by thick concrete shielding which avoids any radioactive leakage and, when shut down, ARRONAX-induced radiation flux returns to the natural level in a few minutes. Consequently no risk of long-lived radioactive dissemination occurs in case of any failure involving the cyclotron or its building.
